You may remember that we announced a few months ago that Wootton Park’s resident bears, Poderick and Lady Podiva, were expecting twins – well we are overjoyed to let you all know that they have finally arrived safely.
A Few Words From Lord and Lady Glampington
” Lady Glampington and I are delighted to announce that we are now the proud parents of beautiful twins, one boy and one girl! For everyone and indeed for us, it has felt like an extremely long wait but it’s all been worth it. Our Cubs are healthy, cuddly and extremely hungry. We’d like to thank our brilliant WoottonPark family for all their support. We are looking forward to getting to know the new additions and learning to adapt to life as a family of four.”
But What Shall We Call The Twins?
Naming the twins was the next dilemma. After much discussion, brainstorming and trying out lots of names, we finally settled on Puck and Portia.
“We thought it rather fitting that they be named after characters from well-known Shakespeare plays, with our beloved Stratford-upon-Avon or ‘Home of Shakespeare’ being located only a few miles from here.”
The Cubs have started responding to their new names immediately. Just like their namesakes, Puck can be mischievous and a bit of handful at times. His sister, on the other hand, is definitely more sensible, already showing us what a clever little thing she is.
We’re looking forward to seeing what the delightful pair get up to over the coming months. Hopefully, once we can open again, you will come and meet them in person.
