In case you weren’t aware, our self-contained Glamping Pods (TreePods, MegaPods and SuperPod) are open all year round, (but currently closed due to tier 3 restrictions in this area). We usually close the cluster of four Woodland Pods during the colder months, however, we’ve been using lockdown 2 and the continued tier restrictions to renovate our Woodland Pods – or more accurately, the GastroPod. This is the extra large pod made available to WoodlandPod guests to dine in, when the weather isn’t great.
Unlike our other glamping pods, the four WoodlandPods aren’t open all year round, usually just from April – October. However, we have decided that given the increased demand for our glamping pods and UK staycations in general, we had to do something to enable the popular WoodlandPods to remain open.
The WoodlandPods are really made to house two people per pod, a child can also be squeezed in if required. However, they do not include kitchen facilities. Usually, in the warmer months, small groups staying in these pods dine in the open space provided and either use the BBQ or pizza oven. However, this set up is obviously not suitable during the colder months of the year.
How We Are Improving The GastroPod
So, we are ‘doing up’ the GastroPod both inside and out! The GastroPod is conveniently located just a few steps away from the WoodlandPods. Up until now, it has been used by WoodlandPods guests for shelter when dining if the weather hasn’t been great. But, it was pretty basic, with tables, chairs and a very small kitchen area only.
The room is now being totally redecorated and refurbished with insulation and cladding also added to the exterior of the GastroPod. We’ve just purchased cosy sofas and installed a log burner. This particular job took two solid days!
We will also be providing a TV with Netflix, a new kitchen area with cooking facilities and a large hot tub on the decking.
The four WoodlandPods, will still be hired out together to small groups, all in line with government guidelines.
Only WoodlandPod guests will have access to the newly refurbished GastroPod, as well as to the shared heated toilet/shower pod.
Everything guests need, to stay cosy and warm when glamping during colder months.
When Can We Reopen?
We are awaiting latest government guidelines and hope to reopen all Glamping Pods from 18th December.
How Much Will It Cost to Hire The 4 x WoodlandPods?
We are hiring out the Woodland Pods as a PACKAGE to include:
- 4 x Heated Woodland Pods
- Heated Shower/Toilet Pod
- Newly refitted GastroPod with hot tub on the decking
The cost is £100 per pod, per night, with a minimum 2 night stay – so £800 in total. In line with government guidelines, the Woodland Pods will be hired to a group of up to 6 people only.
We will also be offering the following discounts:
- 3 night stay (outside of the Christmas period) – £1,000 in total (Normally £1,200)
- Christmas Offer
- A special 3-night stay in the Woodland Pods (from 24th – 27th December) for just £1,100, for up to three households staying together as one group. (Normally £1,200) OR
- A special 4-night stay in the Woodland Pods (from 24th – 28th December) for just £1,400, for up to three households staying together as one group. (Normally £1,600)
- New Year Offer:
- 3 night stay in the Woodland Pods (from 31st Dec – 2nd January) for £1,200, for up to 6 people or in line with latest government guidelines.
